FAQs
We understand that planning an event - be it an intimate dinner to a large-scale wedding can be daunting which is why we like to look after you at every step of that planning journey - here are some questions we regularly get asked...
Q. What types of events do you cater for?
A. We cater for any type of event - from dinner parties, corporate catering, retreats + weddings - we specialise in offering menus to suit any size or shape of event
Q. Do you have any set menus?
A. We have example seasonal menus that we send out to clients to give an idea of the style of our food but we like to build your menu bespokely to make sure you get exactly what you have in mind, weaving in any favourite flavours or dishes to help make your event personal. We are also here to help guide you if you need suggestions as to what would work best for you + your guests
Q. Can we reserve our date with you?
A. Absolutely! Once we have confirmed that you would like to book Minno your date is secured with a deposit payment of 25% of your working total
Q. Can you help with helping us source our tableware?
A. We have a small black book of stylists + hireware companies to help your tablescape come to life - we also LOVE developing a look or vision for your table should you need an extra helping hand
Q. Who will be working at my event?
A. This depends on the size of your event - for a small family dinner party there will be a chef + front of house servers, for large-scale corporate events or weddings we supply a head chef + full kitchen team along with a front of house manager + servers - we want you to enjoy your event + for us that means helping to look after as many aspects of event management as possible alongside other suppliers
Q. Why is there a minimum 4-hour payment for front of house servers?
A. We believe we get the best from our team by respecting the time + effort they give to working for Minno; to match this we want to make sure our team know that their time is valued + so we pay a minimum 4 hour payment to make it worth their while to come to work. Alongside this we are a Living Wage Employer - in fact we pay above the recommended Living Wage.
Q. How do you handle food waste?
A. We operate a minimal waste promise - with years of experience we have honed our skills to balance great feasts for clients alongside minimising food waste at the end of events. But, of course sometimes there are leftover + when there are we box them up for you to enjoy the next day - keeping the feast going.
Q. Do you offer menu tastings?
A. We do! All weddings have tastings built into the costing - these are such special moments when planning your wedding catering. It is often the first time we meet in person, you are invited to my home to share your feast around my dining table + we discuss the finer details in your plan for the day.
